The problem

If you've used a generic AI for school, you know the loop: open a reading, paste a chunk into ChatGPT, ask a question, paste the answer back, hope it actually maps to what your prof taught. The AI doesn't know your class. It doesn't know your slides. It doesn't know what's on the test. So you're constantly translating between "what I'm studying" and "what the AI can see."

What UniVerse does

Connect Canvas once. UniVerse pulls in every class — syllabus, lecture slides, readings, exam dates — and Cosmo (the AI) reads all of it. From then on, every question gets answered against your real course material, with citations clicking back to the actual slide or page.

Open a PDF, highlight a sentence, ask a question — Cosmo walks you through it the way a smart classmate would. Take notes; it reads along. Have a problem set with parts a/b/c/d? Tap the auto-detected problem chips and Cosmo teaches one part at a time instead of dumping all four answers.

Built different from generic AI

• Grounded in your actual class. Same model intelligence as ChatGPT — just with your syllabus, lectures, and readings already loaded.
• Cites everything. Every answer that uses your material has a clickable chip back to the slide or page it came from.
• Teaches, doesn't dump. Cosmo walks you through reasoning step-by-step. If you paste graded work, it refuses to give answers and offers practice problems instead.
• Remembers what you struggle with. Builds a private profile of what you find easy vs. hard so it gets sharper as the semester goes.

• Smarter retrieval so Cosmo can search across an entire semester's readings, not just what's on screen.
• Better handwriting/scan recognition for paper notes.
• Group study features — share a class with study partners and Cosmo learns from the whole group.
• Mobile-native experience that doesn't require a laptop for quick questions.
